
About Me
Meg Shimizu grew up in Kamakura, Japan, where it has a high historical and cultural values. She went to Kamakura Jogakuin High school where she started taking Sogetsu style Ikebana classes after school and it has become one of the hobbies. Meg had a lot of interest in her own culture, but she was also interested in foreign countries since she had an internship at Nepali Basalo, which is a fair trade company.
Meg moved to Boston and go to language school Education First after the graduation in 2016 to learn English and to apply for colleges. After a language school, she moved to Los Angeles for a college education. After two years after she moved, she started taking Ikebana classes in Los Angeles for a deeper understanding of art. She received a teaching certificate from Sogetsu headquarters in 2017 and still continues her practice.
Meg graduated from Woodbury University in Burbank majoring Marketing and minoring in Graphic Design. She had her internship at Vegan Fashion Week and her responsibilities were Influencer Marketing and Business Development. In her free time, she likes to watch Netflix, make jewelry and carve eraser stamps.
